Based on our accepted practices for Ridley College at the present time, the following Healthy Policies should be expected for March 2022:
- Screening protocols for participants and staff daily upon arrival. Campers with a temperature of 38C (100F) and above will NOT be permitted to enter. Parents should keep their camper home if anyone in the household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. It’s advised they return ONLY if they or the family member has been cleared by a medical professional or the ill member produces a negative COVID-19 test.
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be used when physical distancing cannot be maintained or is unpredictable. Masks are mandatory for campers in Grade 1 and up and encouraged for campers who are younger (JK/SK). Masks must be worn indoors at all times, and outdoors when two meter distancing cannot be maintained or is unpredictable.
- We will maintain smaller group sizes with maximum capacities of 15 participants per camp, and minimal interactions with other groups. This may include separate designated areas for groups.
- Qualified staff will enforce physical distancing requirements, frequent sanitization.
- Campers and groups will utilize individual supplies, equipment and activities where possible.
- Physically-distanced sports, games, crafts and activities will be outdoors whenever possible.
- Cleaning and sanitization of equipment and high-touch areas will be ongoing and frequent throughout the daily routines.
- Signage will be implemented for mask use, hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, cohorts, and traffic flow to encourage physical distancing measurements of two metres.
