Based on our accepted practices for Ridley College at the present time, the following Healthy Policies should be expected for March 2022:

  • Screening protocols for participants and staff daily upon arrival. Campers with a temperature of 38C (100F) and above will NOT be permitted to enter. Parents should keep their camper home if anyone in the household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. It’s advised they return ONLY if they or the family member has been cleared by a medical professional or the ill member produces a negative COVID-19 test.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be used when physical distancing cannot be maintained or is unpredictable. Masks are mandatory for campers in Grade 1 and up and encouraged for campers who are younger (JK/SK). Masks must be worn indoors at all times, and outdoors when two meter distancing cannot be maintained or is unpredictable.
  • We will maintain smaller group sizes with maximum capacities of 15 participants per camp, and minimal interactions with other groups. This may include separate designated areas for groups.
  • Qualified staff will enforce physical distancing requirements, frequent sanitization.
  • Campers and groups will utilize individual supplies, equipment and activities where possible.
  • Physically-distanced sports, games, crafts and activities will be outdoors whenever possible.
  • Cleaning and sanitization of equipment and high-touch areas will be ongoing and frequent throughout the daily routines.
  • Signage will be implemented for mask use, hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, cohorts, and traffic flow to encourage physical distancing measurements of two metres.

Requests for cancellation or refunds must be made in writing and submitted to the Ridley College Summer Programmes office via email at [email protected]. Requests for refunds received prior to four weeks before the start date of the programmes will receive a full refund, less an administration fee of 10 per cent. Refund requests received between one and four weeks prior to the start date of the programme are subject to an Administration Fee of 50 per cent of the total fee. Refund requests received less than one week prior to the start of camp will not qualify for a refund.

Pro-rated refunds are not available for days absent, meals not taken or other services not fully utilized. The full session’s fees are due and payable if a child is registered and attends any part of a session.

Any camper who exhibits behaviour that is deemed inappropriate by the Summer Programmes Manager will have their participation suspended or terminated without a refund.

Ridley endeavours to provide one week notice for the cancellation of any week of camp; however, all families will be offered an alternate programme for the same week or a full refund.

If we are advised by the Provincial and Health Advisories to cancel any or all sessions of a summer programme due to COVID-19 regulations and restrictions, all registration fees will be refunded in full.

Limited spaces are available in order to accommodate safety regulations and social distancing, so we recommend registering at your earliest convenience. Once a programme reaches capacity, additional registrants will be placed on a waitlist and accommodated if possible.
