Ridleian Fund

Each year, the Ridleian Fund identifies impactful projects and areas of need not covered by tuition that will benefit students in the year ahead.

Potential Meets Opportunity

Through the Ridleian Fund, our community unites with the shared purpose of enhancing the educational experience of our students for the upcoming year.

Your gift to the Ridleian Fund will have a direct and immediate impact to help shape the future of Ridley by providing funds for scholarships and bursaries, programme enhancements that support meaningful student experiences, facilities and equipment improvements and investments in innovation and creativity.

Where You Can Make a Difference

Headmaster’s Fund

Having the flexibility to address emerging priorities is critical for any institution, and the generous support of this fund allows Headmaster Kidd and the leadership team to respond to emerging needs of the school. When you give to the Headmaster’s Fund, your contribution will be strategically allocated to Ridley’s highest priority needs not covered by tuition — resulting in a stronger and more innovative school.

Scholarships & Bursaries

Ridley provides nearly $4 million in tuition assistance to deserving students each year. By supporting the growth of Ridley’s endowment and giving to scholarships and bursaries, our donors help us to increase the tuition assistance we can offer and attract the best and brightest students — regardless of financial means.

  • Named Endowed Bursary ($100,000)
  • Named Endowed Scholarship ($100,000)

Tiger Court (Goal: $250k)

With the transformation of the north side of the Second Century Building into our Middle School, a need has emerged for an outdoor recreation space to complement their facilities. The Tiger Court will be a dedicated outdoor play space for all students, specifically Middle School students, in close proximity to their school building and classrooms. It will include two courts side-by-side, serving as multi-purpose spaces for physical activity, sports and fitness. This project reflects Ridley’s commitment to physical literacy for all students.

Philosopher’s Way (Goal $200K)

The Philosopher’s Way will be a beautifully landscaped walkway with plenty of trees, seating and tranquil gardens running through campus along the main drive of the school. The pathway from the Marriott Gates to Upper School is one of the most well-travelled routes on campus. With increased vehicular traffic on this roadway, we want to establish a safe pedestrian walkway to keep students off the road.

Naming opportunities include:

  • Philosopher’s Way Gardens ($10,000)
  • Benches ($5,000)
  • Trees ($1,000)
  • Pavers ($2,500)

Playscape Climbing Structure (Goal: $125K)

We are making plans to expand the Lower School playscape for our junior students with the addition of a graduated risk climbing structure. This structure will allow our older Lower School students to engage their adventurous side, embrace risk and explore challenges in a safe environment. With nets, ropes, swaying seats and various climbers to explore, students of all abilities will grow their gross motor skills and play in a way that allows them to expand their creativity, push their physical boundaries and build relationships, all in the name of growth and development!

Naming opportunities include:

  • Perimeter Trees ($1,000)
  • Bench ($5,000)

Outdoor Learning Spaces (Goal: $100K)

The Hog’s Back Trail and green space on the north edge of campus is regularly used by Lower School and Middle School classes as an outdoor classroom space. Our vision is to create purpose-built outdoor teaching spaces on campus to enhance Ridley’s outdoor learning opportunities for students and our cadet programme. This area remains an important part of our campus green space, and we want to continue developing it into an innovative and welcoming outdoor learning environment.

Naming opportunities include:

  • Outdoor Seating Space ($2,500)

Masters Way (Goal: $100K)

Thanks to the generous support of the class of 1982, we were able to transform the area across from the Second Century Building in 2015 into the Master’s Way as it stands today. We now have an opportunity to transform what was a roadway in front of the Second Century Building into a beautiful new pedestrian thoroughfare running through the heart of campus. This project will improve both the look and function of this space and offer more green space and safety for our students while travelling across campus.
