Additional Information

Programme Rules and Procedures

The following measures will be in addition to our daily programme routines:

  1. All camps will be one-week sessions unless otherwise stated. Our enrolment levels will be reflective of a more personal camper experience with a smaller counsellor-to-camper ratio.
  2. A lunch option will be offered to our Summer Programmes participants in compliance with our Healthy Dining Routines policies and procedures in both our on-campus dining halls. Daily snacks will not be included. Campers are asked to bring nut-free snacks with them daily to enjoy during their breaks.
  3. Visitors, including parents, will not be allowed into any building/facility on the Ridley Campus. All inquiries must be made by phone or email, and arrival and dismissal will take place in designated areas.
  4. All other policies (e.g. those with respect to transfers, cancellations and expectations for behaviour) will remain unchanged. Please check our website for an updated Parent Guide in May 2023.
Health and Safety Policies

Based on our accepted practices for Ridley College at the present time, the following Healthy Policies should be expected for Summer 2024:

  • Designated full-time medical staff on hand, in our on-campus Schmon Health Centre, to ensure the safety of our campers and take appropriate measures and monitoring when illness or injury arises.
  • Masks will NOT be required to be worn by staff and/or campers while in attendance at Ridley College Summer Programmes. In addition, Campers will NOT be required to wear a mask or face covering while engaging in physical activity, sport and select co-curriculars, such as music and indoor curriculum-based activities. *However, we are mask friendly here at Ridley College Summer Programmes, so please be respectful of others who choose to wear a face covering.
  • Everyone will be encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands prior to entry to the programme.
  • Parents should keep their camper home if they are feeling unwell and only return after symptoms improve.
  • Campers and groups will utilize individual supplies, equipment and activities where possible.
  • Cleaning and sanitization of equipment and high-touch areas will be ongoing and frequent throughout the daily routines.
Refund Policy

Requests for cancellation or refunds must be made in writing and submitted to the Ridley College Summer Programmes office via email at [email protected]. Requests for refunds received prior to four weeks before the start date of the programmes will receive a full refund, less an administration fee of 10 per cent. Refund requests received between one and four weeks prior to the start date of the programme are subject to an Administration Fee of 50 per cent of the total fee. Refund requests received less than one week prior to the start of camp will not qualify for a refund.

Pro-rated refunds are not available for days absent, meals not taken or other services not fully utilized. The full session’s fees are due and payable if a child is registered and attends any part of a session.

Any camper who exhibits behaviour that is deemed inappropriate by the Summer Programmes Manager will have their participation suspended or terminated without a refund.

Ridley endeavours to provide one week's notice for the cancellation of any week of camp; however, all families will be offered an alternate programme for the same week or a full refund.

If we are advised by the Provincial and Health Advisories to cancel any or all sessions of a summer programme due to COVID-19 regulations and restrictions, all registration fees will be refunded in full.
