Boarding Camps

Everyone belongs at Camp Ridley.


We invite you to join the Camp Ridley community and experience boarding in a safe and welcoming environment this summer. Our boarding camps are open to all students from ages 10 to 17. All camps and accommodations are hosted on our beautiful 90-acre campus in the heart of the world-famous Niagara Region. We offer a summer filled with adventure, friendship and lots of fun while learning inside and outside the classroom. Camp Ridley boarding is open to Canadian and International students.

Summer Boarding Programmes

Our Boarding Programmes includes:

  • Immersive cultural and language experience through activities on campus and excursions to the local region during evening and weekend guided trips and activities.
  • Explore the magic and wonder of the Niagara Region, including Niagara Falls, through exciting local excursions on weekends and evenings.
  • Visits to downtown Toronto and Canada’s Wonderland amusement park.
  • Live comfortably on our beautiful campus, 24 hours supervised by qualified and experienced boarding staff.
  • All-inclusive package (shared accommodations in a Ridley boarding house, three healthy meals daily, snacks, all programme fees, excursions)
  • A safe and secure campus with 24/7 access to Ridley security with cameras installed to ensure camper safety.
  • Ridley’s kitchen can safely accommodate a variety of dietary needs and restrictions.
  • Emergency Health Insurance coverage while staying on campus
  • Access to health care and medical professionals 24 hours a day at Ridley’s Schmon Health Centre.
  • Free WIFI access

The Programme cost does not include:

  • Camp Ridley does not include flights, custodianship fees, travel documents or spending money. We recommend students bring $300 to $500 for personal spending.

    Boarding Camp Offerings

    At Camp Ridley, we understand that every student is different and offer something for everyone. Students can customize their Camp Ridley boarding experience by selecting from the following programming options:

    CAMP RIDLEY: DAY CAMP BOARDING (Ages 10 to 16)

    Tailored for adventurous boarding students looking to immerse themselves in a truly Canadian experience. Explore Ridley through experiential learning programmes with local Canadian students during the day. Please visit our day camps for a complete list of available camps and schedules.

    Sports Camps: Basketball, Hockey, Rowing, Soccer, Squash, Tennis, Volleyball and more.

    Arts Camps: Animation, Directing in theatre, Film production, Musical theatre, Performing arts, Popstar, Visual arts and more.

    Science and Leadership Camps: Debating and public speaking, Chemistry in action, Coding, eSports, Leadership in training, Future doctors, Future engineers, Future entrepreneurs, Robotics and more.

    • July Session: June 29th to July 26th
    • July Session, J1: June 29th to July 12th
    • July Session, J2: July 13th to 26th
    • August Session: July 27th to August 23rd
    • August Session, A1: July 27th to August 9th
    • August Session, A2: August 10th to 23rd

    • 4-week Camp or Leadership Programme Boarding: $7495 (tax included)
    • 2-week Camp or Leadership Programme Boarding: $3995 (tax included)

    SUMMER ESL CREDIT PROGRAMME (Ages 12 to 16)

    This course is designed for students of all levels of English proficiency looking to take the next step in their English language learning through engaging, practical and project-based learning. We offer all levels of ESL, from beginner to advanced. This is a great option for those who wish to apply to English-language high schools or universities. Upon completion of the course, students will earn an Ontario Ministry of Education credit. Students will also have a chance to build friendships during fun, on-campus activities with peers.

    Dates:

    • July Session: June 29th to July 26th
    • August Session: July 27th to August 23rd

    Fees:

    • 4-week ESL Credit Course Boarding: $6995

     

    LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME (Ages 13-17)

    The leadership programme is designed for campers looking to build skills in communication, confidence, problem-solving and teamwork in
    a hands-on and experiential manner. Campers learn inside and outside the classroom through conversations with local leaders and their peers.

    Dates:

    • August Session: July 27th to August 23rd

    Fees:

    • 4-week Camp or Leadership Programme Boarding: $7495 (tax included)
    • 2-week Camp or Leadership Programme Boarding: $3995 (tax included)

    CUSTOM PROGRAMMES (Ages 10 to 17)

    Available by request for groups of 15 to 20 students. Examples include Leadership, STEM + ESL, Sports + ESL, Rowing, Hockey and other specialty subjects. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

    • Custom dates are available from June 29th to August 23rd

    The fee for a custom programme depends on the programme developed and offered as a net price.

    Payment

    Programme fees may be paid via credit card, Flywire, or wire transfer. Please contact us at [email protected] should you wish to pay with Flywire or wire transfer.

    Note to Ridley families: all Summer Academy, Enrichment Course and Boarding Experience fees must be paid separately from the student’s Ridley College account.

    Refund Policy

    Requests for a refund of Camp Ridley must be submitted to the Camp Ridley Office via email at [email protected]. Requests for refunds received prior to May 1st, 2025, will receive a full refund, less the administration fee of 10 per cent of the total fees. Refund requests received between May 1st, 2025, and June 1st, 2025, are subject to an administration fee of 50 per cent of the total fees. Refund requests received after June 1st, 2025, will not qualify for a refund.  

    If a Camp Ridley registrant’s Visa is denied, the Visa application must have been submitted to the IRCC by March 15th, 2025, to be eligible for a refund. Registrants must submit the IRCC refusal letter with proof of submission prior to March 15th, 2025, for a refund. Ridley College must be notified of the visa status no later than June 1st, 2025. Registrants without a visa by June 1st, 2025, who have submitted their visa application prior to March 15th, 2025, will receive a full refund. 

    Pro-rated refunds are not available for absences, meals not taken or other services not fully utilized. Full fees are due and payable when a child is registered and attends any part of a Camp Ridley session. 

    Any Camp Ridley registrant who exhibits behaviour that is deemed inappropriate (please refer to the Code of Conduct) by the Program Leadership could have their participation suspended and/or terminated without a refund. 

    Study Permits and Temporary Visas

    Students attending Ridley Summer camps do not require Study Permits. International students must ensure they have the appropriate travel documents to enter Canada. Most students require either a Temporary Resident Visa or Electronic Travel Authorization. Please note that current Visa processing times are longer than usual, and early applications are recommended.
