Ridley College employs highly qualified private music teachers for instruments and voice. Our students may select an instrument or voice to study privately on campus.
Private music instruction is offered at Ridley College in many musical disciplines, from the beginner level through the Associate Diploma of the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto).
Students signed up for term one lessons before August 1st will receive a free 30-minute introductory lesson with their teacher between September 16th and September 20th. Students who register after August 1st will begin lessons during the week of September 23rd.
Lessons take place during the school day at a fixed weekly time that suits the student, family and teacher. Students must provide their own instruments for lessons. Piano students must have access to a piano or keyboard for practice at home.
Follow the link below to register. For more information, please contact the Private Music Lesson Programme Coordinator at [email protected].
Students may choose from the following lesson offerings:
Ten weekly lessons from Sept. 23rd-Nov. 29th. Make-up lessons or individual lessons from Dec. 2nd-Dec. 13th.
Seven weekly lessons from Jan. 8th-Feb. 21st. Make-up lessons or individual lessons from Feb. 24th-Mar. 6th.
Nine weekly lessons from Mar. 25th-May 30th. Make-up lessons or individual lessons from Jun. 2nd-Jun. 6th.
Private music lessons are charged to your family account at the start of each term. Lessons for students in the final two weeks of each term will be charged individually, provided these are not make-up lessons.
Lessons are prepaid per term. Students are registered automatically for the next term of lessons unless the parent notifies the private music lesson coordinator before the new term starts.
The final two weeks in each term are reserved for students who qualify for a lesson credit.* Any lesson missed without 24 hours' notice is forfeited, except for last-minute illness or family emergency. Notice for any missed lesson must be given by the parent via email.
Provided that proper notice is given, the student will have the following options:
* One lesson credit is offered per term if a student cannot take advantage of the two above options.
If a student wishes to withdraw from lessons, the parent should indicate this directly to the private teacher and music lesson coordinator. No remaining lessons will be refunded during the term's final three weeks.
